In terms of the provisions embodied in the Public Trustee (Powers and Function) Act [Cap, 31 R. E. 2002] the Administrator General is vested with powers to administer all unclaimed properties after being satisfied that the owner or the body corporate responsible for the said property is no longer into existence. Pursuant to the same law, the Administrator General is also responsible for protection and administration of the shares/properties of a child under the age of 18 years where there is no any relative or guardian responsible for taking care of the interests of the said child.
The Public Trustee Act, (Powers and Function) Act; Appointment has identified and mentioned the Administrator General as the Public Trustee.

Under Section 5 (1) (b) and 7 of the Public Trustee (Powers and Function) Act, the Administrator General as a Public Trustee may apply in Court of competent jurisdiction to be appointed as a trustee to administer unclaimed property or a trust property whose incorporation has been revoked or a property of a child under 18 years.
