Registration of Adoptions

Adoption is a legal process which transfers parental responsibility from the childs birth parents to their adoptive parents.
Registration of adoptions is governed by Adoption Act, (CAP. 335) RE 2002.
Procedure to obtain Adoption certificate
- Submit adoption order from the High Court.
- Surrender Birth certificate of the Adopted Child.
- Pay appropriate fee for Adoption Certificate( current fee rate Tshs 100,000/=).
